T&L – Optional Holiday
Employees are entitled to paid leave to observe an Optional Holiday in exchange for relinquishing a state holiday (Skeleton Crew Holiday) during the same fiscal year. If you take an Optional Holiday but don’t work a skeleton crew holiday in the same fiscal year, you will be charged a day of vacation leave instead.
- If you work your regular hours on Good Friday for on an Optional Holiday: No action is needed in CAPPS
- If you take Good Friday as an Optional Holiday: The code to use in CAPPS is OHCPT (Optional Holiday Comp Taken) – 8 hours.
- When working a Skeleton Crew day: The code to use in CAPPS for those working the skeleton crew holiday in exchange for the optional holiday is REGOH (Reg Holiday worked in lieu of Optional Holiday) – 8 hours.
